The Challenge
While IES's software suite, particularly the IES Virtual Environment (IESVE), is instrumental in reducing global carbon emissions, their existing brand identity didn't fully capture the scale of their ambition and impact. The challenge was to create a dynamic visual identity framework that:
- Reasserts IES as the global market leader in decarbonising the built environment.
- Establishes a more confident, direct, and authoritative visual approach.
- Enhances the use of images and graphics across all brand materials.
- Expands the visual toolkit to include a broader range of digital assets.
- Defines and embeds motion branding as a core part of the identity.
- Ensures everything from presentations to product splash screens felt unmistakably IES.




Visual Identity System
The grid framework became the unifying element, marrying precision and vision. Every brand asset was designed to embody innovation and sustainability, creating a cohesive narrative across all platforms.

Our collaboration with IES resulted in a versatile suite of assets that brought the refreshed identity to life:
- Brand Hero Images: Visually compelling representations of sustainable buildings emerging through the grid framework.
- Digital Assets: Wesbite product headers, software splash screens, and templates for web content imagery.
- Templates: PowerPoint presentations, email newsletters, Word documents, and social media visuals including page headers.
- Motion Assets: Logo and product logo animations, YouTube intro/outro assets, and a suite of animated templates for social media content.
- Print Materials: Brochure templates with sample spreads and exhibition stand designs.
