Dog Digital is looking for an enthusiastic Digital Project Manager for an exciting role based in our Glasgow office (hybrid working with three days a week in the office Tuesday - Thursday).

You will be able to co-ordinate, supervise, and plan projects and collaborate with multiple project teams or departments to oversee the design and development of a range of digital projects. 

You will have a proven track record and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of project delivery processes to ensure that work is being delivered within the project scope, budget, and timelines, whilst ensuring quality and project efficiencies.  Dog use Prince 2 methodologies in the project delivery processes, a working knowledge of this practise will be beneficial.

You need to be a highly motivated, organised, and passionate person that is willing to tackle demanding tasks and take responsibility for actions, using your initiative to make suggestions and working to make things happen and motivate others and inspire a positive attitude through the project lifecycle.

You must excel at managing delivery, with a keen ability to define team and project objectives including expectations and deadlines and monitor the progress of your projects against targets. You will use your strong oral and written communication skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders on your projects. You will be a good listener, but also highly persuasive, using facts, clear arguments, and personal conviction to influence and persuade others.



Responsibilities

  • Planning, Delivery & Execution 

    • Work with delivery teams to ensure briefs are correct and estimated fully and all relevant information is obtained.
       
    • Work with our resource planning teams to ensure jobs are resourced appropriately.

    • Keep all project stakeholders updated on project delivery.

    • Highlight any risks/issues and deviations to project tolerances and strive to resolve them and where appropriate escalate this into the dog risk process.

    • Manage the budgets of projects working with CS and Operations to ensure project governance and billing milestones are met.

    • You will work with the creative, development, and Client Services teams on new business pitches and proposals, and prepare estimates, and timelines for digital projects, supporting CS with presenting them to clients as necessary.

    • Lead/facilitate the presentation of deliverables to clients (creative concepts, site organisation, requirements, plans, etc.)

    • Ensure that all projects meet accepted best practices in usability and website design and support the agency developed branding and strategic initiatives.

    • Attend/lead workshops and other discovery sessions to develop business requirements for projects. Communicate those requirements to the delivery team and ensure that solutions meet those requirements.
  • Reporting 

    • Produce and develop detailed project plans for project delivery, communicate and track project milestones, and monitor progress for all team members against the project plan.

    • Conduct internal and external status meetings regularly as necessary to ensure effective issue resolution and quality project delivery.

    • You will have experience writing statements of work, communication plans, status reports and end-of-project reports.

  • Client Relationships 

    • Manage the client relationship from approval to launch by conducting regular calls, monitoring, and escalating project risks, soliciting client feedback, making modifications to deliverables and processes, and partnering with the client relationship manager to ensure client satisfaction.

    • Build strong internal and client relationships to build trust in delivery from all stakeholders.

    • Build close relationships with our clients through ongoing communication, acting as an extension of their team.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience as a Project Manager or similar role, agency, or in-house with a technical knowledge of websites or content management.

  • Excellent organisational skills: You need to be highly organised to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to a high standard whilst keeping all parties updated.

  • Team co-ordination skills: You will be facilitating between a number of internal teams that have conflicting priorities.

  • Interest in innovation and experimentation of emerging technologies and platforms.

  • Stakeholder management: You need to be able to translate very technical terminology to non-digital stakeholders

  • Budget management: You need to be able to provide cost estimates and quotations, as well as delegate big budgets for projects

  • Resource management: You need to identify and appoint the correct resource and brief them as and when projects comes in

  • In-depth experience and knowledge of a broad range of tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Content Management Systems).

  • Strong appetite to hit targets by monitoring performance regularly to understand the effectiveness of strategy and creative, and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn - enthusiasm is a must.

  • Strong organisation and time management. Both reacting to briefs from the client services team or directly from the client and self-planning deliverables to meet deadlines. 

  • Strong focus on customer service.

  • Team player, at ease with internal stakeholders from junior to senior levels, and willing to roll up your sleeves and work collaboratively.
