Dog is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Designer for an exciting role based in our Glasgow office (hybrid working with three days a week in the office Tuesday - Thursday).

We’re looking for a Junior Designer to join our dynamic creatives at Dog. As an important part of the team, you’ll collaborate closely with our senior designers – and other cross-functional departments – to create compelling visual assets for a wide range of clients across multiple sectors. 
Reporting to our Senior Creatives, you’ll be equally as comfortable working on your own, as part of a wider creative team, and with people across the agency too. And because you’ll always be collaborating closely with clients, you’ll feel at ease presenting your concepts, listening to their feedback, and developing assets to best suit their needs.

What you'll do:

Graphic Design: Showcasing strategic thinking across all aspects of your design output, you’ll create digital – and sometimes print – collateral for a range of campaigns. You’ll also create social media graphics, logos, banners, and look after our clients’ journey from brand to campaign to social and web – and back again.

Video Editing: Assist in the creation/editing of video content for social media and ad campaigns.

Presentation: Using our guidelines, you’ll prepare presentation decks for both internal and external use. This will include the creation of both client concepts and brand case studies

Branding: You’ll also contribute to the development and maintenance of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual elements and communication channels.

UI/UX Design: Support the team on the design and development of user interfaces, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Collaboration: You’ll work closely with the heads of depts and senior designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality design solutions.

Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to continually improve skills and contribute fresh ideas to projects.

Adaptability: Be flexible and open to learning new skills, techniques, and technologies as the design landscape evolves.

Software Proficiency: Utilise design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects & XD) and other relevant tools to create and edit visual assets.

What we're looking for from you...

•    Strong portfolio showcasing creative design work and proficiency in various design tools and software.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and concepts.
•    Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, typography, and layout.
•    Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
•    Keen interest in campaign advertising.
•    Familiarity with basic principles of UI/UX design and understanding of responsive design principles is a plus.
•    Passion for design and a willingness to learn and grow.
