Dog Digital are expanding and are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join the team and manage their technical infrastructure. This is an exciting position within a fast-moving and growing company environment, working alongside the Technical Director and Development Manager as part of a highly technical team.
Applicants should be familiar with both Windows and Linux environments, as well as simple networking, storage, and email systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing company servers, PCs and network
- Managing client hosting servers
- Monitoring and maintaining backups
- Monitoring server health and troubleshooting problems
- Sourcing and purchasing new equipment and software
- Maintaining software register
Must Have:
- Windows 2008 Server in a web server environment
- CentOS Linux (File and Web server management)
- SQL Server 2008 (setup and backup management)
- MySQL 5 (setup and backup management)
- VMWare VSphere ESXi
- Ability to write maintenance scripts for both Windows and Linux environments
While the company is looking for someone with strong skills in these areas, you will have the support of managers and developers who each have expertise to share from which you will benefit. You will be charged with running some significant IT projects so the ability to balance workload and priorities is essential. At the same time you may occasionally be asked to fix a user's PC or company printer!
