CALA is a leader in the housebuilding industry, but their old site didn't portray the 'premium', 'upmarket' and 'quality' factor which is central to their overall brand.
So they turned to Dog to deliver them a design that would reflect the same space, light and luxury experience that the customer enjoys when they own a CALA home. And they wanted that coupled with a build that would deliver a better, more customer focused experience, to reinforce CALA's position as the UK's most upmarket homebuilder.
Such a big project brought lots of challenges, for example we had to migrate and integrate all their existing developments, users, saved properties and part-exchange properties, plus develop a new siteplan system.
Working to turnaround the complex project in a very short space of time, we delivered a bespoke Sitecore platform web development and redesign with a fully adaptive mobile site, that resulted in improved user experience, and a cleaner and fresher look and feel that captures the CALA brand. And we achieved it with the client at our side by adopting a totally collaborative approach and agile process to the entire project.
The new CALA website now acts as one of their primary communications tools. It reflects the quality and luxury of owning a CALA home and it provides an experience unlike any other UK homebuilders website.
We’re proud to have delivered a new site that now offers a much more intuitive and engaging user journey: through easier navigation, uncluttered body content and less clicks to reach target. Initial results already demonstrate a positive impact on engagement. Year on year, conversions have increased by 125%; unique visits are up by 87%; and mobile and tablet traffic has been boosted by 36% and 105% respectively.
