Now we'd like to pretend that this is how we end every week at Dog, you know, the entire company posing in their finest for a team photo whilst the Creative Director sprays reception with a bottle of bubbly. But let's be honest, we tend to keep these outrageous shows of extravagance for special occasions and as 2011 drew to a close we had a lot to celebrate.
It was an amazing year for Dog, gaining a number of high profile new clients including Innis & Gunn, Baillie Gifford, Aberdeen Asset Management, and Subsea 7. A huge e-commerce site for Pagazzi Lighting was also launched using the Magento platform. As well as all of this, existing clients such as SWIP benefited from huge traffic boosts on the back of a new site. On the social side of things, Glasgow 2014 saw an explosion in their Facebook fan base growth as a result of a number of engaging and interactive campaigns.
With the host of additions to the client roster, the headcount at Dog Digital also grew, allowing the agency to offer new and improved specialisms in a number of areas, including copywriting, advertising strategy, and social marketing (hence the packed team photo).
And it was all topped off nicely with the exciting news that Dog Digital has risen sharply to position 38 in the Recommended Agency Register (RAR) Top 100 Agencies outside London, a big jump from our previous ranking of 75.
The list of the top performing agencies is compiled annually by The Drum, and is based on a range of criteria including profitability, growth and efficiency. Our M.D. Gerry McCusker explains what it means to us; "We're delighted that our hard work in 2011 has been acknowledged by The Drum in this way. To be included in the list at all means that we have received strong recommendations from our clients, so I would like to thank them for taking the time to recognise the quality of work and high levels of service that we provide."
Next year we're expecting nothing less than top ten. And we already have the bubbly on ice ready and waiting.
