Joining the champions of the sports industry
Alongside our client Powerleague Group, we’re set to join the best of the best of the sport industry at this year’s BT Sport Industry Awards, having been shortlisted for Digital Platform of the Year!
Fantastic recognition for our UX, design and digital development teams – not to mention our client services team for bringing it all together – being awarded a place in the finals for Lucozade Powerleague’s Playermatch platform is an honour, and testament to the great working relationship we enjoy with the Powerleague team.
Up against the likes of BBC Sport, CelticLIVE Matchday App and the Official Wimbledon Mobile App, it’s going to be a tough match. But we’ve been delighted with the impact the Playermatch platform has had on both the Powerleague business, and on customer experience.
Playermatch meets one of Powerleague’s main challenges: building reliable teams of 5-a-side players. Drop outs and no shows were ruining games and leagues, and having a detrimental impact on business. Playermatch solves that issue, matching teams and individuals digitally. The service enables teams to find new players quickly and encourages new players to join in nation-wide leagues by giving them the opportunity to meet and play for teams.
Judges acknowledge the role that Playermatch plays in encouraging increased participation in grass roots sport and in delivering a direct commercial impact for Powerleague. You can find out all about the project in ‘Our work’ or check out Playermatch for yourself.
The BT Sport Industry Awards celebrates the best of the best from across the industry in front of a star-studded audience. The annual ceremony takes place at Battersea Evolution on 30th April 2015, and we’ll be there with our clients and friends of the agency, hoping to lift the prestigious trophy!
